After I got hit by a truck in June and suffered major injuries, I decided it was time to get some video cameras front and rear. At the advice of my attorney I got the Cycliq Fly12 Sport. It was a bit tricky getting it mounted because I don’t have round handlebars but I finally figured it out with some k edge mount accessories. I have decided to use the highest resolution video so I can capture license plates details. There is a button you can press to highlight anything you want to come back and review. You can record in 3, 5, or 10 min segments which is great so it’s not chopped up as much. The light options are also great. I haven’t put it to the test on battery life but so far it handles my 2 hr rides just fine. I got the rubber case for extra protection and the sound filters which seem to help with wind noise. I think it’s a good choice for extra safety (or at least legal recourse) and just to pick up some ride footage.
