As staff at Cycliq, the year 2015 has been a bit of a blur with product development and day-to-day tasks all merging in to one big ball of “Busy”. That being said, September was upon us so we packed our suitcases and bike bags and headed to the other side of the planet to take part in Interbike 2015, in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada!
This would be the second time that Cycliq would embark on the States for Interbike as this time 12 months ago we were launching the new and improved Fly6. This time around the focus was all about Fly12 and we really wanted to make a statement. Our booth was much bigger and our goals much broader. Throughout the show, we got to speak with an amazing array of people including pro cyclists, cycling industry experts, existing Cycliq customers/supporters and the incredibly large and supportive media base.

Everyone was so pumped to learn more about our new creation “Fly12” and the feedback during and post show has been overwhelming. The units people got to play with at Interbike were advanced prototypes and since the show, I can confirm that we have continued our progress as we endeavour to launch to the wider market later this year! Check out a quick glimpse of Fly12 and explanation by yours truly in this short interview I did with our friends at Clever Training.
Adding to all the awesome media exposure, Cycliq were also the recipients of the prestigious Bike Roar People’s Choice Award for 2015 that was awarded during the show!
I was also lucky enough to venture out onto the tradeshow floor and checkout some other businesses/products that were on display. The “WOW” factor was extreme to say the least…. My personal show highlights had to be Kask Helmets, K-Edge Cycling Accessories, Stages Power Meters and the Pinarello Platform that was showcasing the actual bike SIR Bradley Wiggins rode when he broke the UCI Hour Record.

Now that I have managed to maximise your jealousy levels, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for more news on the Fly12… Until next time, checkout this short video of myself riding with Tim Johnson (Pro Cyclist) and Neil Shirley (Editor of Road Bike Action Magazine) captured on the Cycliq Fly12 as we road into Las Vegas!
Safe Cycling!
