Verdict: Smart, intuitive device for both fun and safety

At a time when incidents involving cars or pedestrians (or other cyclists) are all too frequent for cyclists, a camera may not be able to prevent an accident but at least it offers peace of mind that you will have evidence to back up your side of the story.

Kudos, Cycliq, a very impressive upgrade

It seems an absolute no brainer that all bikes should be fitted with front and rear lighting and trip or incident recording technology. The two recent upgrades from this Aussie innovator perfectly fit the bill.

I found the Fly12 and Fly6 to be excellent products

Well designed, robust, good quality, with many practical features for the commuter. I think the cameras could also do a good job for recreational filming purposes as well. I am likely to purchase a set for my commutes.

DC Rainmaker Review

I love this little thing

Ultimately, I love this little thing. It just works. Every time. I charge it, and quickly slide it on my bike, then off I ride. If/when I need to grab footage – it’s easy to do.

We think the Fly6 does a great job of showing what’s going on behind you. It’s easy to fit, easy to use and provides the light you need to be seen.

The absolute best option for what they do

As for those that have yet to install a safety camera on their bikes, but are thinking about it, I’m convinced the Fly6 CE and Fly12 CE are benchmark products.

Wired Fly12 Review

The Fly12 from Cycliq is a multitool for the front of your bike.

Makes you visible. A built-in HD camera with audio captures you’re adventures on the way home or provides YouTubeable proof.
