Conor’s Story – Perth, Australia

Conor was riding home when a worker shouted and threw water over him. An intentional act of assault that could have ended badly.

Fortunately, Conor had his front-facing Fly12 Sport bike camera recording the entire incident.

The footage didn’t just tell the story — it proved it. So much so that police and prosecutors took swift action.

“Reported to the police and he paid $1600 after going to court and pleading guilty,” said Conor.

Here are some questions we asked Conor:

Why do you record your ride?
“For peace of mind, you never know what’s going to happen!”

When do you feel most vulnerable as a cyclist?
“Usually when riding somewhere new and not knowing where to go, especially if you’re forced onto busy roads. I try to avoid that.”

Did you report your incident? What was the reporting process?
“I submitted a hoon report to Western Australian Police and they followed up a couple of days later with a link for me to upload my footage.”

Why Recording Matters

Conor’s footage was submitted to the authorities and became a key piece of evidence. It would have been difficult to take any action without it.

When things go wrong, video gives you the power to show exactly what happened. And when drivers know they might be recorded, they’re more likely to think twice before making a dangerous choice.

Feel safe. Record your ride.
