John was riding down the road when a car pulls up very closely next to him and accuses him of riding through a give way sign – an intentional act of intimidation. The sign in question was actually a roundabout sign, and vehicles entering the roundabout must give way to traffic already in the roundabout. This meant they had done nothing wrong.

Fortunately, John had his front-facing Fly12 bike camera recording the entire incident.

The footage takes the he said she said out of the situation. It’s hard evidence which allowed the police to take action and charge the driver with a $350 fine and 2 demerit points.

“The bluster and arrogance, and jibes about lycra were replaced with an apology when the police called him.” said John.
